Vantage develops Regretted Loss Diversity Survey for National Law Firm.
Situation: A national law firm faced extensive turnover, most notably amongst its female and minority associates. Employee morale was very low and several lawsuits had been threatened. The firm needed to better understand its inability to retain such valued employees by asking for, and acting upon, associate views and perspectives.
Goal: To design and administer an extensive post-employment opinion survey to help the organization determine employee perspectives on the work environment, alignment with organizational goals, levels of engagement and human resource practices.
Process: Working with the Project Manager, Vantage Solutions LLC used the following methodology. First, Vantage designed the employee opinion survey tool to assess quantitative and qualitative data to determine the specific areas of challenge and opportunity. Second, Vantage assisted the firm to develop and properly communicate the purpose of the survey to encourage full participation. Third, Vantage implemented the survey and interviewed all selected and approved participants either in-person at an agreed upon site or via telephone. The fifth step required Vantage to analyze and evaluate the data provided by the participants. Vantage conducted the survey online and analyzed the results both quantitatively and qualitatively. Vantage presented the results to firm management in the form of a recommendation report outlining our findings and conclusions and making numerous recommendations for improvement.
Results: The survey revealed areas of strengths and weaknesses and allowed the firm to create a more robust diversity recruiting and retention strategy.
