The Seven P's to High Performance
At Vantage Solutions, we believe that no one element of HR functionality works in a silo — rather, each aspect must be integrated with and work together to complement every other component. With this in mind, Vantage has developed and utilizes our integrated Seven P's to High Performance™ model for consulting engagements. Our proven model takes a methodical approach to identifying, addressing and enhancing the core functions that form the foundation of effective organizations. Specifically, it ensures that our clients'
Purpose,
Platform,
Processes,
People,
Policies,
Pay and
Place are integrated and strategically aligned for business success.
Purpose: The purpose of the organization is captured in its vision, mission and values. Vantage Solutions helps business to define their purpose by providing
strategic planning and
retreat management facilitation services.
Process: Once their purpose is clear, Vantage helps organizations define what work will be done and what are the best, most–efficient
workflow processes for achieving consistent high performance. Our work in this area includes assessment of overall
organizational effectiveness against internal expectations, as well as external benchmarks, and providing short and long–term recommendations for
process improvement.
Platform: Platform highlights the need to understand what
organizational structure and design is needed to achieve process success. An organization seeking to achieve high performance must provide
role clarification for staff carrying out the organization's mission. Every organization must review and update their organizational chart, along with each job in the organization to ensure that all of the work that needs to be done to achieve Purpose is accounted for. Vantage helps organizations to define (and redefine) various roles and responsibilities of their staff and determine what modified or additional job titles are needed to fulfill their purpose and implement process improvements.
People I: All of Vantage's work focuses on the importance of people to the success of the organization. Here we look at what jobs are required to get the work completed. Making this determination requires
job analysis, which leads to the development of
job descriptions and a
FLSA Analysis on whether positions are properly classified as exempt or non–exempt. In addition, for organizations facing decreasing productivity, Vantage will conduct a
competency assessment of existing staff to determine whether individual employees are in fact, the right people for their positions. As needed, we will refer you to our sister company,
Vantage Legal Solutions, P.C.,for guidance on the legal aspects of reductions in force or performance–based terminations.
People II: People II focuses on putting the right people in the right seats at the right time for business success. Vantage Solutions provides
recruiting services, including
sourcing candidates who meet the core competencies defined in Platform and the job descriptions defined in People I. Once people are on board, they must be trained and developed, their performance must be managed and they must see the potential for growth in order to engage within the organization. We help with
performance management, training and development and
succession planning to ensure that our clients attract, develop and retain those employees who can best contribute to business success.
Policies: In most employee satisfaction surveys, the notion of fair treatment and an equitable work environment where merit is rewarded ranks high on the list of reasons employees remain with a given employer. Policies are important to ensure fairness, consistency and compliance with
employment laws. Vantage will review and assess existing policies and procedures, including
Employee Handbooks,
Supervisory Manuals and
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and make recommendations for revisions.
Pay: Pay looks at how organizations compensate their employees and focuses on internal equity and external consistency. Pay includes salary, bonus, benefits, ownership opportunities, and time–off and other work-life balance practices that impact the reward your employees receive for the work they do. Ensuring an awareness of how your total compensation lines up with the work you are asking people to perform allows management to make appropriate business decisions about how to align pay practices with business goals. Vantage provides
compensation benchmarking,
salary and reward systems and
benefits communication to support your efforts in this arena.
Place: Place looks at the culture of the organization and helps companies become destination employers. Is your organization one of a shared mindset of collaboration that drives the productivity required or one that stifles it? Vantage assists organizations in developing and building upon their organizational culture, incorporating best practices in
diversity and inclusion management, managing multiple generations in the workforce, as well as providing open, honest and fair delivery of Employee Relations services.
